摘要: Introduction Pre-hospital ambulance calls are not random events, but occur in patterns and trends that related to movement of people, as well the geographical epidemiology population. This study describes geographic-time a large urban city conducts time demand analysis. will facilitate Systems Status Plan for deployment ambulances based on most cost effective strategy. Materials methods An observational prospective looking at all Singapore. Locations were spot mapped using Geographic Information (GIS) technology. Ambulance response times analysis conducted by postal districts. Results Between 1 January 2006 31 May 2006, 31,896 patients enrolled into study. Mean age was 51.6 years (S.D. 23.0) with 60.0% male. Race distribution 62.5% Chinese, 19.4% Malay, 12.9% Indian 5.2% others. Trauma consisted 31.2% medical 68.8%. 9.7% cases priority (most severe) 70.1% 2 (moderate severity). call receipt arrival scene 8.0 min 4.8). Call volumes day almost twice those night, Mondays. We found definite pattern heavier suburban town centres Eastern Southern part country. characterised top 35 districts highest periods, which form basis plans. Conclusion calls. demonstrates utility GIS despatch has implications maximising effectiveness deployment.
