摘要: To clarify the circadian variation in sudden death (SD) Japan, where causes of differ from those USA, we examined all certificates 1984 to 1986 Niigata Prefecture, Japan. We defined SD as which occurred within 1 h onset underlying cause. A significant variation, with a high incidence between 6 and 8 am secondary peak pm, was found occurrence cardiac (SCD, n=2953). Although proportion SCD due acute myocardial infarction (AMI) low 28% cases, similar that previously reported USA. In AMI males (n=487), 3 peaks, including primary 4 am, evident. There also marked increase fatal stroke pm (n=529). concluded 1) two incidences, one characteristic general, 2) there for males, 3) both men women. (Jpn Circ J 1996; 60: 193 - 200)
