摘要: BACKGROUND: Dyeing wastewater has caused serious pollution of aquatic environments, and adsorption is one the most commonly used water‐purification methods with selection suitable adsorbents being key factor. These factors motivated us to develop new, more efficient purify dyeing wastewater. RESULTS: A surface cross‐linking co‐polymerization triallylmethylammonium chloride (TAMAC) grafting cotton unsaturated bonds (G‐cotton) was designed obtain multidimensional cationic adsorbent (PT‐cotton) a high degree substitution 0.129. gel‐adsorption effect construction on occurring during PT‐cotton discovered resulting in having an ultrahigh capacity for purifying Compared untreated cotton, 1344.10 times higher. widely activated carbon, 145.31 higher, it 11.05 7.25 respectively, than that similar G‐cotton polycationic (PF‐cotton) reported our previous contribution. When materials were fill filter columns, dye solution flowing through columns immediately became clear, removal percentage filters reached 96.9%, which clearly better carbon (26.2%). Moreover, per‐unit amount water purification from filtering using 7.02 higher PF‐cotton. CONCLUSIONS: Obtained greater potential application existing materials. © 2018 Society Chemical Industry
