摘要: A unified way to characterize a two-state one-port switchable network is discussed in this paper. figure-of-merit of the one-port, called commutation quality factor (CQF), introduced. It can be applied different types switching devices (semiconductor, ferroelectric, superconductor, etc.) and used for design components with optimal characteristics. The CQF defined as ratio input impedances lossless reciprocal two-port terminated impedance pair Z/sub 1/ 2/, provided imaginary parts both are zero. simple formula derived calculation CQF. invariance respect transformation shown. applicability does not depend on physical nature device. working tool selection while designing electronically controlled microwave subsystems. recommended determining available minimum insertion loss component. Thus, introduced optimization component designed.
