摘要: Although the ability of pancreatic transplants to establish a normoglycemic insulin–independent state in diabetic humans was shown by Lillehei and Kelly associates late sixties [1,2], technical immunological problems limited its application for many years. During past 10 years, however, cumulative efforts several international teams have elevated transplantation from clinical experimentation edge becoming routine form therapy method selected patients with established or emerging complications diabetes [3].
