摘要: The estimation of survival rates from tagging or banding data has been well developed by Brownie et al. However, problems occur when sparse sets result in undefined estimates, estimates exceed unity, a hypothesis about the cannot be tested any available models, andwhen constraints on model estimators are desired. This paper presents general analysis method whereby models and many other methods described literature merely special cases. Models specified algebraically as cell probabilities consisting functions parameters to estimated. These algebraic expressions observed values input computer program SURVIV provide maximum-likelihood unknown perform tests data. generality specification also allows form biotelemetry 3 tables, 1 figure.
