摘要: The innershell photoionisation soft X-ray laser proposed by Duguay and Rentzepis [Appl. Phys. Lett. 10 (1967) 350] is investigated. Based on dynamic calculations, we propose a new operating regime at high atomic densities (∼ 1017 cm−3) for this lasing system which suitable the recently developed short pulse ( 1012 W) systems. At densities, rising edge of pumping radiation shown to be critical gain performance. calculated duration suggests that could operated as sub-picosecond using traveling wave excitation.
