摘要: Abstract The electrochemical behavior of alizarin red S (1,2-dihydroxyanthraquinone sulfonate, ARS) immobilized on electrochemically pretreated glassy carbon (GC) electrode by silica sol–gel process was investigated. central quinone functionalities the ARS molecule underwent quasi-reversible redox reaction. Oxidation dihydroxyl gave unstable products which further follow-up chemical transformation to give new electroactive species. results were applied develop a reagentless sensor for indirect determination aluminum (Al) ions. Various experimental parameters, influenced properties modified electrode, optimized. Under optimum conditions, linear response range Al3+ ions employing differential pulse voltammetry 1.4×10−7 1.4×10 −6 mol l −1 and relative standard deviation 1×10 2.7% (n=7). detection limit 8×10 −8 . as sensor, is stable portable. This method has been determine Al in water samples.
