摘要: Abstract Hybrid bending plates consisting of fibre-metal laminates (FML) facilitate an individual spring rate at constant component geometry for a wide variety vehicles, sports equipment and prostheses. The such FML is adjusted by alternating layer setup the two materials. Based on technological potential hybrid plates, this paper evaluates compares production costs against composite in different manufacturing scenarios. For purpose, processes RTM prepreg pressing are compared. Three applications scenarios (automotive, running prosthesis), each with volumes number variants serve bases economic evaluation. resulting process chains modeled based value stream method. While cause reduced tooling all assessed scenarios, higher material tend to overcompensate effect. Material seem have biggest lever reducing total costs. Further research hence may be undertaken investigate effect optimised structure
