摘要: A 66-year-old patient was referred to the Periodontal Clinic at Case Western Reserve University for implant placement in mandibular left first molar area. The reported a history of oral bisphosphonate intake last 7 years treatment osteoporosis. Autogenous bone block grafting planned augment ridge before placement. surgery performed under local anesthesia, and successfully placed 8 months after augmentation. Healing uneventful postoperatively, buccolingual width increased significantly, allowing 5-mm-diameter dental implant. showed proper healing both donor site recipient site, spite long-term therapy, with no resulting osteonecrosis jawbone.
