摘要: Forty-two women with thumb base osteoarthritis referred to a joint protection programme (JP) were distributed into groups: one only JP (Control group) and addition of splints day/night, hot pack/home exercise (SE group). Assessments pain, stiffness, grip force, disabilities daily activities performed before treatment, 1 week year after treatment. The SE group had significant decrease in stiffness an improvement directly the intervention at 1-year follow-up compared Control group. In pain night, on motion, decreased. Grip force increased improved. decreased motion showed just but not follow up. This comparative study shows that when splinting regimen are added it gives greater than alone.
