摘要: Summary Estimation of abundance is important in both open and closed population capture–recapture analysis, but unmodeled heterogeneity capture probability leads to negative bias estimates. This article defines develops a suite models using finite mixtures model survival probabilities. Model comparisons parameter estimation use likelihood-based methods. A real example analyzed, simulations are used check the main features heterogeneous models, especially quality abundance, survival, recruitment, turnover. The two major advances this provision realistic estimates that take account heterogenetiy capture, an appraisal amount overestimation arising from conditioning on first when present.
