摘要: Non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) is commonly used as a core material in electric machines. These laminations are cut into the desired shape that modifies properties near edge, which consequently changes magnetic performance of lamination. Magnetic property deterioration due to cutting has been reported literature but less attention given microstructural and its relation properties. The present research focuses on effects laser microstructure NOES laminations. A number lamination samples were laser-cut using an identical procedure expected industrial scale. Property measurements showed permeability decreased while losses increased. loss increase was significant, about 22% at 50 Hz 1.5 T. This attributed change micromagnetic characteristics sample cutting. micromagnetics investigated domain imaging distorted structure observed edge. Backscattered electron nanoindentation also for further investigation material.
