Screening for environmental impact assessment projects in England: what screening?

摘要: Previous survey research into screening for environmental impact assessment (EIA) in England has found that few local authorities have very much experience of dealing with EIA projects. This examined actual case files projects fall within the ambit UK's Regulations and an explanation this lack experience. In majority cases they were not even screened to see if was required. suggests there is widespread misunderstanding regulatory requirements by English planning authorities. It also suggested may be a culture resistance among planners can undermine both effectiveness theories used justify its use.
