Acquired Zinc Deficiency: Cutaneous Manifestations Typical of Acrodermatitis Enteropathica

摘要: A patient given long-term total parenteral nutrition acquired a zinc deficiency severe enough to cause typical cutaneous manifestations of acrodermatitis enteropathica. This report, the first detailed one, our knowledge, such an association, adds accumulating evidence that supplementation trace elements is needed in nutrition. ( JAMA 235:2399-2402, 1976)
