On the Accurate Simulation of TCP Behavior over Error-Prone Wireless Links with Memory

摘要: In this paper we show how traditional indoor channel models do not accurately reflect the real behavior exhibited by TCP when operated over error-prone wireless links, especially due to large variability which is empirically observed. contrast with them, use a novel model, based on an auto-regressive filtering scheme, and have integrated into Network Simulator framework, better capture of links. We shall see that memory characteristic channel, clear influence retransmissions inactivity times transmitter suffers from, highlights as it most distinctive aspect. The idea provide realistic modeling channels, so overcome deficiencies characterize other more approaches.
