摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of double reading on routine screening mammography for detection breast cancer in a non-academic environment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: During one year, 22,024 mammograms asymptomatic women were submitted to independent by two radiologists specialized imaginology. Data analyzed number additional carcinomas found after second and absolute recalls account reading. RESULTS: Nine detected reading: 55.5% ductal carcinoma situ remainder invasive up 1.5 cm. Our recall rate generated was only 1.8%, with percentage false-positive findings 98%. CONCLUSION: Double increased 8.5% all tumors stage 0 or 1.
