摘要: Pure Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) stands occupy an area of more than 28,000 hectares in the western Italian Alps (Aosta Valley and Piedmont). The purpose this study was to describe forest spatio-temporal dynamics over last 50 years compared land-use change analyse role two different ecoregions: intermediate internal Alps. In each site about 4000 ha selected and, following orthorectification preprocessing, historical aerial photographs (1954, 2000) were analysed. Multiresolution segmentation object-oriented classification methods used order derive land use maps from photos. Forest landscape structure has been analysed by means metrics relations between topographic features, demographic density, changes assessed.
