Association of susceptibility locus for inflammatory bowel disease on chromosome 16 with both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

摘要: A susceptibility locus for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on chromosome 16 (IBD1) has been linked to Crohn's in genome-wide linkage studies. We performed a case–control study with two markers this using leukocyte DNA from 127 patients, 83 ulcerative colitis and 74 control patients. Allele, genotype, haplotype frequencies of the polymerase chain reaction products were determined autoradiography. Haplotype differed disease, particularly CC (22% vs 10% P = 0.002 χ2 10.0) CD (18% 9% colitis, 0.025 5.02). These data demonstrate association IBD1 both group unrelated IBD The use such microsatellite when combined others, might help distinguish patients ambiguous clinical histological features.
