摘要: Nature shows numerous examples of systems which show energy efficiency, elegance in their design and optimum use materials. Biomimetics is an emerging field research engineering successes have been documented the diverse fields robotics, mechanics, materials many more. To date little biomimetics has directed towards tribology terms transferring technologies from biological into applications. The potential for biomimicry recognised replicating natural lubricants but this system reviews mimicking synovial joint as efficient durable tribological systems. integration technology fluid/surface interactions are central to discussion.
