摘要: [1] The eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull in spring 2010 lasted for 39 days with an explosive phase (14–18 April), effusive (18 April to 4 May) and a renewed activity (5–17 May). Images every 5 s from camera mounted 34 km are available most eruption. Applying maximum cross-correlation method (MCC) on these images, velocity structure cloud has been mapped detail four time intervals covering three phases The results show that average there updrafts one part lateral motion or downdrafts another. Even within updraft part, alternating motions strong updrafts, weak downward motion. These highly variable plume driven by intermittent explosions. discussed context integral models terms elementary parcel theory.
