摘要: Abstract In this report, we discuss a few recent applications of hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) carried out at the RIKEN beamline BL29XU in SPring-8. We first provide brief description salient features instrument operation BL29 XU HAXPES studies on recoil effect photoelectrons core levels and valence band states are presented. The experiments show remarkable consistency with theoretical results indicate role phonon excitations photoelectrons. then overview applied to study series 3 d transition metal (TM) compounds. experimental often an additional well-screened feature bulk sensitive electronic structure strongly correlated compounds compared surface spectra. extended cluster model developed by us for explaining is validated TM These that valuable tool doping temperature dependent solids tremendous potential future activities.
