摘要: The cleavage of a single SO2O bond occurs during the polarographic reduction tosyloxy group (pCH3C6H4SO2O = TsO) in aprotic medium and intramolecular cyclisation may ensue when second TsO is present on same molecule. behaviour aliphatic ditosyloxy derivatives discussed assumption that oriented vicinal at interface assume conformation which resembles geometry transition state for an elimination with anchimeric assistance one groups. This situation favours electron transfer, whereas geometric requirements hinder interaction groups non-vicinal derivatives. interpretation agrees well fact large scale electrolysis give much higher yield cyclic ethers than homologues. It also shown between can occur through intervening double derivative.
