摘要: The contributions of primary care providers to the successful children with spina bifida cannot be underestimated. Overcoming systemic barriers their integration into a comprehensive system is essential. By providing routine and disability specific through structure Medical Home, they are often first line resource support for individuals families. Home model encourages facilitate discussions on topics as varied education employment. Knowledge medical issues unique this population allows provider complement efforts other specialty clinics in neglected areas such sexual health, obesity latex sensitization. As live adulthood, access traditional multidisciplinary models evolves, these skills will take increasing importance within scope coordinated care.
