摘要: Background: The failure of sutures to maintain tissue in apposition is well characterized hernia repairs. A mesh suture designed facilitate integration into and around the filaments may improve hold decrease pull-through. Methods: In vitro, were compared for resistance pull-through ballistics gel. vivo, closure midline laparotomy incisions was done with both 11 female pigs. Tissue segments subsequently subjected mechanical histological testing. Results: had tensile characteristics nearly identical those 0-polypropylene suture. Mesh demonstrated greater than standard (mean(s.d.) 4⋅27(0⋅42) versus 2⋅23(0⋅48) N; P < 0⋅001) vitro. pigs, ultimate strength repaired linea alba at 8 days higher (320(57) 160(56) 0⋅001), as work (24⋅6(14⋅2) 7⋅3(3⋅7) J; elasticity (128(9) 72(7) N/cm; comparison Histological examination 90 showed complete Conclusion: novel structure increased early wound healing an experimental model.
