摘要: Isoflavone phytoestrogens are growing increasingly popular because of their reported cardiovascular and anticarcinogenic properties, but the effects these compounds in brain largely unknown. In a previous study, we found that an isoflavone supplement, containing mixture soy phytoestrogens, inhibited estrogen-dependent female sexual behavior was antiestrogenic for both ERα- ERβ-dependent gene expression hypothalamus. Here examined impact genistein, major component on rat brain. Genistein, at dietary concentration 100 or 500 ppm had no effect lordosis rats.
