摘要: Here we show that a subpopulation of MCF-7 breast cancer cells which stains pale to Toluidine Blue (Light Cells- LCs), is endowed with  features CSCs. LCs give rise self-renewing mammospheres and express typical CSC markers; moreover this chemoresistant highly tumorigenic in vivo. can be identified several  other cell lines, irrespectively their histological origin (luminal vs mesenchymal basal) represent an heterogeneous population composed mainly CSC-like early progenitor cells.  By limited  in vitro drug screening assay, identify compounds specifically interfere with the viability from multiple lines.
