摘要: Abstract This paper looks at steps taken towards the development of a 10-year strategy for management healthcare waste from National Health Service (NHS) in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The major issues and challenges that affect by NHS, including its organisational structure collection infrastructure, are outlined. flows main acute medical site detailed, using audits domestic clinical bags, redundant equipment, bulky waste, special waste. Some common barriers to change, such as staff habits public perceptions, also identified. Recommendations made with respect improvements overall infrastructure increased localised control. recommendations centre around formation strategic partnerships, within site, between sites broader level NHS surrounding community. An important challenge be overcome is need progress concept ‘waste management’, one sustainable decision making regarding resource use, methods minimisation source recycling.
