摘要: Research indicates that developmental dyscalculia (DD; a mathematical deficiency) involves single brain area abnormality - in the intraparietal sulcus. This is surprising because, (i) behavioural deficits are heterogeneous, (ii) multiple problems most common cases (co-morbidity) and (iii) different aspects of intact number processing represented areas. Hence, progress study DD might be limited by conceptual issues. work looks at biological cognitive findings within delineates frameworks for studying neurocognitive basis DD. We offer three alternative frameworks. These proposed have potential facilitating future discussions, field implications studies similar disorders like dyslexia attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
