摘要: Ryegrass swards at fourteeo widely separated sites in England were assessed for yield, botanical composition and invertebrate populations, with without insecticide treatment during a 4-year period. Treatment reduced the numbers of almost all groups sampled increased grass growth some time but one site. Annual DM output was by 0–32% depending upon site concerned. Evidence is presented which suggests that yield increases due to suppression aphids, plant-sucking bugs, stem-boring fly larvae, perhaps nematodes.
