摘要: Abstract Slices of various brain regions were prepared from newborn and 7-day old rats co-cultured in different combinations. In the majority co-cultures septal hippocampal slices, acetylcholinesterase-positive fibres originating nuclei invaded adjacent slice. A similar pattern ingrowth by occurred with slices nucleus basalis Meynert spinal cord. Septal neurones also projected to cortical an effect which even presence their natural target tissue. contrast these massive projections areas situ receive cholinergic inputs, no significant fibre was observed tissues lack major afferents (hypothalamus, substantia nigra cerebellum). These results indicate that under our culture conditions, selectively invade areas. This is independent area derived.
