摘要: Hydra were cut so that regenerates consisting only of the central gastric region formed. This region, which has no natural opening to environment, is capable osmoregulation and removing excess fluid from gut. The excreted through a break in body wall created as result strong contraction when gut distended with fluid. A normal hydra, therefore, must remove by contracting expelling it its mouth.
