摘要: Road network and critical road structures such as bridges, culverts floodways have a vital role before, during after extreme events to reduce the vulnerability of community being served. Understanding resilience existing known natural hazards empowers authorities in risk mitigation emergency management. Major resources available researchers address complex problem are recent case studies where failures infrastructure resultant impact on been captured by some authorities. For example, 2010-2011 floods Queensland Australia had huge particularly central southern resulting state owned properties 9170 km network, 4748 rail 89 severely damaged bridges culverts, 411 schools 138 national parks. The paper presents detailed analysis study 2013 Lockyer Valley region identify failure mechanisms bridge exposed flood events. In region, 43 out 46 were due flood. identified scouring abutments piers, damage decks urban debris severe damages approach ramps. A framework comprising combination concept fault tree method index is proposed for modelling an event.
