摘要: Purpose/ Background: To treat the cancerous tissues unsealed radioisotopes are being in clinical practice since 7 decades. From these sources, I-131 is choice of treatment for treating thyroid cancers. Orally administered patients to be kept isolated hospital some period until captured activity body reaches national and international limits avoidance unacceptably high radiation exposures patients' family members general public keep ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principal mind. The main rationale this study was calculate exposure/dose public. Material Methods : This work presents exposure rate dose corridor non-radioactive admitted adjacent room from treated at NIMRA (Nuclear Institute Medicine Radiotherapy) Jamshoro Pakistan. In 23 cancer with different activities (50 200 mCi) January 2011 December 2012 were included. Results: average about 5.17 µSv/hr (2.14 8.15 µSv/hr) cumulative nonradioactive residing an 0.647 mSv (0.192 1.664 mSv). Conclusion concludes that especially patient almost within 1 specified standards. ----------------------------------------- Cite article Memon SA, Laghari NA, Qureshi ST, Ahmad A, Khan AA, Hussain MM.
