摘要: The occurrence and intensity of luminescent lines was assessed by eye in slices from 232 similar-sized colonies massive Porites 30 reefs on the Great Barrier Reef (GBR), Australia. varied location coastal to 176 km mainland. Luminescent corals GBR record periods when are exposed river plumes other mainland runoff. Reefs could be divided into three groups: those that never recorded runoff, runoff but not every year, year. average significantly inversely related percentage distance a reef across shelf water depth between Annual variations luminescence were also correlated with instrumental measurements annual flow modeled salinities. These results suggest highly robust proxy influence along length GBR.
