摘要: Recovery of testicular spermatozoa from non-obstructive azoospermic patients for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a recent advance in the treatment male infertility. The purpose this study to identify predictive factors recovery patients. A total 178 men with azoospermia had multiple extraction (TESE) procedures recover June 1996 February 1999. Testicular volume, serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) level and histology were examined as positive recovery. Testis biopsies categorized severe hypospermatogenesis, maturation arrest Sertoli cell-only syndrome based on most advanced pattern spermatogenesis seen histology. Sperm retrieval success rates three histopathological categories compared. Spermatozoa successfully recovered 94 (52.8%) men. retrieved 13 80 (16.3%) syndrome, 15 24 (62.5%) arrest, 66 out 74 (89.2%) hypospermatogenesis. has no correlation volume or FSH level. When compared against odds rate was 44.3 times higher hypospermatogenesis 8.4 arrest. These results demonstrate meaningful between successful testis histopathology. Only histopathology can be used predictor
