摘要: Abstract The Finnish metal mining industry and mineral exploration have experienced rapid growth in recent years. new activity has mainly focused on gold, base, ferrous platinum-group metals. raised both hopes concerning the economic benefits fears of environmental degradation, aroused local national conflicts between differing viewpoints. In this paper, we assess possible future development Finland by constructing three scenarios presenting developments terms. These are: 1) best-estimate scenario, 2) base-level scenario 3) maximum scenario. show continuous coming years if profitability outlook projects prospects remains positive. Growth is indicated for factors, especially value-added, waste generation indirect CO2-eq emissions. there a small observed during 2010–2020 but otherwise indicators declining trend. appears to good potential provide Finland, economically regressive northern eastern areas. However, sufficient management impacts as well successful corporate-stakeholder responsibility strategy needed maintain industry's social license operate.
