摘要: The supply of minerals and energy is critical to global society. However, this associated with social environmental impacts, leading concerns generational intergenerational equity. In light these concerns, a call for papers special volume on the mining industry was issued view that such academic work could assist in reducing negative impacts industry. This paper introduces Special Volume “The sustainability agenda demand network: an integrative analysis ecological, ethical, economic, technological dimensions”. contains 84 articles, divided into several themes; accounting reporting, corporate responsibility, future challenges, frameworks sustainability, management aspects, developing context new frontiers oil gas also includes two letters contemporary issues commentaries from experts fields, viz., community conflict land rehabilitation. Insights obtained across themes are summarized recommendations made what needed build upon findings volume. A research proposed gaps synergies identified. overall contribution it renews debate challenges provides transdisciplinary insights resolving some challenges.
