摘要: A method was developed to measure lithium concentrations in the human brain using vivo 7Li- and 1H-magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). Lithium measured by MRS 10 lithium-treated bipolar patients were at half level of those serum. Serial measurements indicated that increased markedly during manic episodes, while serum unchanged. These findings suggest brain, combined with serum, may be useful monitoring effects therapeutic drugs.
