摘要: Abstract The objective of this paper is to provide a theoretical foundation predict many aspects dynamic behavior flywheel systems when spin-tested with quill shaft support and driven by an air turbine. Theoretical analyses for the following are presented: (1) determination natural frequencies (or brevity critical speeds various orders), (2) Routh-type stability analysis determine limits (i.e., speed range within which small perturbations attenuate rather than cause catastrophic failure), (3) forced whirling estimate response major components system mass eccentricity initial tilt. For first third kinds analyses, two different mathematical models generic investigated. One seven-degree-of-freedom lumped parameter analysis, while other combined distributed analysis.
