摘要: Abstract The effect of adsorbed water on the characteristics friction both silicon nitride and carbide was studied experimentally using a pin-on-flat-type apparatus at slow sliding speed 10 mm min −1 . Silicon powder were hot pressed under sintering conditions pressure, 30 MPa, temperatures 1800 °C 2100 respectively. A continuous increase in during reciprocal observed for laboratory air with relative humidity 50% ± 5%. It attributed to decrease protective surface layer sliding. effects time intervals sliding, environmental temperature formation examined. Experimental results showed that shorter intervals, lower higher increased ceramics. These influences also friction, because above prevented layer.
