摘要: The magneto-optical response of the ferromagnetic semiconductor HgCdCr2Se4 at terahertz (THz) frequencies is studied using polarization sensitive THz time-domain spectroscopy. It shown that state broadband pulses, with a spectrum spanning from 0.2 to 2.2 THz, changes as an even function magnetization medium. Analysing ellipticity and rotation radiation, we show these effects originate linear birefringence dichroism, respectively, induced by magnetic ordering. These are rather strong reach 102 rad/m applied field 1 kG which saturates sample. Our observation serves proof-of-principle showing order on medium electric fields frequencies. experiments also suggest feasibility spin-dependent transport measurements sub-picosecond timescale.
