摘要: Single domain magnetic nickel nanocrystals were embedded in alumina matrix using a pulsed-laser deposition technique. Structural characterization carried out at the atomic level scanning transmission electron microscopy with number contrast (STEM-Z) conjunction energy loss spectroscopy have revealed that Ni particles are well separated and interfaces host atomically sharp free of any oxide layer. An excellent correlation was found between particle sizes determined theoretically from magnetization versus field data experimentally STEM-Z which indicates absence magnetically dead layers on nanoparticles within an experimental error 0.1 monolayer.
