Quantitative optical determination of the shape of Cu nanocrystals in a composite film

摘要: We demonstrate that optical extinction spectroscopy can be used to determine the effective shape of Cu nanocrystals ~NCs! embedded in a transparent amorphous Al2O3 host both produced by pulsed laser deposition. The axial ratio NCs was extracted from positions surface plasmon modes spectra nanocomposite film. Comparison results obtained grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering shows excellent agreement.
