Appendiceal mucinous cystadenoma associated with pseudomyxoma peritonei and multicystic peritoneal mesothelioma: Report of a case

摘要: An extremely rare case of mucinous cystadenoma developing to pseudomyxoma peritonei together with multicystic peritoneal mesothelioma is herein reported. The patient was a 25-year-old Japanese woman who underwent an appendectomy under the diagnosis acute appendicitis because right lower abdominal pain. histopathologically demonstrated appendiceal mucocele peritonei. She laparotomy in our unit following detailed examinations. Several cystic tumors measuring from 3 5 cm diameter were found omentum, and thus omentectomy, partial cecectomy left oophorectomy all performed resect tumors. Immunostaining electron microscopy showed lesion be cystadenoma, while mesothelioma. To knowledge, this first report world literature combination diseases.
