摘要: The genetic alterations of appendiceal carcinomas have not been reported in detail. We studied the clinicopathological factors and including microsatellite instability, p53 overexpression, mutations K-ras proto-oncogene 30 adenocarcinomas, consisting 23 mucinous 7 nonmucinous carcinomas. Sixteen (70%) presented with pseudomyxoma peritonei, but 6 (86%) appendicitis (P =.002). All were stable, overexpression was present only 1 (3%) mutation 11 20 (55%) carcinomas, 8 16 (50%) 3 4 (75%) mean survival patients 26 +/- 19 months compared 13 9 for =.0002). Our findings suggest that appendix similar alterations, different clinical presentation prognosis.
