摘要: Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is the fifth leading cause of cancer death in United States. Mutations K-ras oncogene occur 85% pancreatic adenocarcinomas and have also been identified 75% ducts with mucinous cell hyperplasia seen association chronic pancreatitis. We mutations 65% duct lesions associated not only pancreatitis but distal common bile carcinoma (cholangiocarcinoma). These observations make a potential candidate for gene-based diagnostic test. Indeed, demonstrated secretions patients intraductal neoplasia. analyzed stool specimens mutated sequences using plaque hybridization assay adenocarcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, were detected from 6 11 2 3 1 The found identical to those primary five cases. one patient cancer, pancreatitis, two cholangiocarcinoma same as ductal present resected pancreas specimens. Our data suggest that originating cells shed by abnormal epithelium can be stool. results support further exploration analysis screening early detection precursor such hyperplasia.
