摘要: Currently, the materials with highest thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) are one‐band materials. The presence both electrons and holes lowers ZT, so two‐band such as semimetals not useful However, by preparing these in form two‐dimensional quantum‐well superlattices, it is possible to separate two bands transform material an effective one‐carrier system. We have investigated theoretically effect approach our results indicate that a significant increase ZT may be achieved. This result allows possibility using new class refrigeration elements.
