摘要: Lung transplantation is still limited by the shortage of suitable donor organs. This results in long waiting times for listed patients with a substantial risk (10–15%) dying before transplantation. All efforts to increase awareness through legislation, public campaigns, and training transplant coordinators medical ICU staff should be encouraged. Only minority cadaveric donors meets preset ideal lung criteria, leaving many transplantable lungs untouched. Donor utilization can further improved careful selection extended criteria donors, active participation teams management, verifying as often possible quality hospital member team. article aims update current evidence from literature identify select potential manage maximally organ yield
