摘要: Abstract Objective: A dire shortage of lungs for transplantation exists. We hypothesized that aggressive organ procurement organization management usually rated as unacceptable (ratio Pao 2 to inspired oxygen fraction Methods: From January, 1, 1995, through August 31, 2000, a total 194 donors resulted in 228 lung transplants. Of these, 27 were deemed according protocol. used the California Transplant Donor Network database conduct retrospective review all donors, including supposedly who treated with invasive monitoring (central venous pressure), methylprednisolone, fluid restriction, inotropic agents, bronchoscopy, and diuresis. evaluated survivals at 30 days 1 year patients received acceptable. In addition, we compiled data on recipient survival subgroup 122 recipients from died trauma compared these those nontraumatic causes see whether donor's death by higher mortality. Results: After management, ratios fraction, central pressures, balances, dopamine requirements, chest radiographs criteria comparable acceptable donors. There no significant differences mortality between groups or after transplantation. Moreover, difference was found mortalities traumatic causes. Conclusion: Aggressive initially considered may increase number available J Thorac Cardiovasc Surg 2002;124:250-8
